HEALTH & SAFETY
Health & Safety Importance
Cambria Design Build is committed to the protection from accidental loss of all its resources, including all workers and physical assets. Job practices and procedures are clearly defined in our Occupational Health and Safety Management Program for all workers to follow. We believe that knowledge and training will result in a safer work environment. Loss prevention is the direct responsibility of the team members present at a project site, especially supervisors and all workers.

L to R: Kevin Flynn~Minister of Labour, Spencer Lavis~Cambria’s President,
Cambria Design Build has always taken health and safety very seriously and to keep improving our in-house H&S standards and to be more attractive to Construction Buyers in both the Public and Private Construction sectors, Cambria has signed up and its pursuing the Certificate of Recognition, COR™, which is nowadays the highest H&S Program in Ontario. “COR™ is a nationally trademarked and endorsed by participating members of the Canadian Federation of Construction Safety Associations (CFCSA) of which the Infrastructure Health and Safety Association, IHSA, is a member”. COR™ provides employers with an effective tool to assess their health and safety management system and to actively take action to eliminate or control real or potential hazards in the workplace. “COR™ is aimed at driving positive workplace behaviour and practices that lead to improve performance”, which matches Cambria’s essence. “COR™ is currently being used across Canada” as an opportunity to improve and excel daily in H&S practices and procedures.
